Amidst the drama, excitement and twitter spats, two big winners on the night were YBNL founder Olamide and R&B artiste Timi Dakolo who went home with seven awards between them.

On his part, Olamide scooped four awards namely, best collaboration (Local Rappers with Reminisce, Phyno & Stormrex), Best Street-Hop Artiste, Album Of The Year (Street O.T.) and Artiste Of The Year. Timi Dakolo on the other hand went home with three awards for Best Recording Of The Year, Best Vocal Performance and Best R&B Single for the song Wish Me Well.

Other notable winners on a night overshadowed by the now-infamous Olamide and Don Jazzy spat included Korede Bello who won the Best Pop Single award for Godwin, M.I who won Best Rap Album for Chairman and Wizkid who won in the Song Of The Year category with his smash hit Ojuelegba.

Speaking about the Headies 2015, show organiser Ayo Animashaun remarked,

“This has to be one of the most interesting editions of the show so far. You could see how much it meant to the awardees to win here tonight and on behalf of myself and the Headies team I offer my sincere congratulations to everyone who showed up tonight and had a great time. I had a wonderful time and my aim is for the Headies 2016 to be even better than tonight!”
